Rosedale conquer Woodside
In their final game of the home and away season, Rosedale caused the upset of the round with a 16 point win over one of the premiership favourites Woodside at Woodside on Saturday.
The Blues led at every change and when their coach Jeremy Reid called on his team to give him just 30 minutes more and bury the opposition, this young Blues side were able to not just hang on but extend the 9-point lead at the final change to 16 points on the final siren.
For Woodside Ryan Foat worked tirelessly in the ruck and around the ground to try and lift his side. Joh Fyfthe was consistent across the four quarters. Ashton Janssen was their only multiple goal scorer, he finished with two.
For Rosedale Will Logan proved too elusive for the Woodside backs and finished the day with eight goals. Jake Pawley ensured that Woodside’s dangerous full forward Daniel Farmer was not allowed to insert his influence into the game.
Woodside take on Glengarry at Glengarry in the final round of the home and away season. No doubt they have some tricks up their sleeve, they haven’t come this far to falter now..

Woodside was way too good in the reserves grade. Despite missing a few of its ‘stars’ the Woodside team had winners all over the ground.

Disappointment for the Woodside team, who had their chances in the third quarter but inaccurately cost them dearly.
