Thirty Six points a winning score

 

Saturday’s competition was a Men’s and Ladi’s individual Stableford.

New member , Justin Staley (32) was the only male competitor to play to his handicap and declared the overall and B-grade victor with 36 points.

Dean Summerfield (17) got the nod in A grade with 35 points on C/B.

Paul McAninly 35, Chris Buckland 35, Gary Ward 34, Anthony Harris 33, Chris Barclay 33, Peter Biggs 33, Chris Pettitt 33, Steve Papworth 33, and Corey Kee 33 points all received DTL recognition.

Chris Buckland (plus one ) with 72 off the stick including four birdies on the front nine was a fine effort in the heavy atmosphere.

Dean Summerfield playing consistently also won the vets on C/B with Paul McAninly and Gary Ward winning DTL balls.

Justin Staley was also rewarded for his stunning birdie on the par three 218 metre first hole.

Frankie Maclennan (22) playing consistently won the Ladies individual stableford also with 36 points.

Jen Nickell 32 and Kaye Irwin also with 32 points were next best.

Jen also won the NTP on 15.

Tuesday’s Ladies Day

Kaye Irwin (27) the ladies victor with 35 points.

Jen Nickell 33, Frankie Maclennan 32, Dulcie Beer and Tracey McKenzie each with 31points followed.

Jen Alexander won the NTP and Sandra Denovan the target hole prize on the 1st.

Mens Stableford

Mark Goulden (15) was in terrific form with 39 points to win Tuesday’s Mens event.

Joe Razinger 38, Tony Johnson 37 and Mick Peel 36 points also had good rounds.

Thursday’s Nine Hole Event

Barbara Cox 19 and Paul McAninly 17 points won some fare with a small field taking to the fairways.

Upcoming Events

This Sunday the Newry Plate will be held and Yarram has one team entered in the 100 strong field.

Sunday the 28th July the Drummonds Mixed American is scheduled for the popular format of competition.
