Natural Inclinations exhibition

There are just days left to witness one of the Yarram Courthouse Gallery most outstanding exhibitions.

NATURAL INCLINATIONS by Scott Sheil and Sue Gilford mixes Scott’s extraordinary talents as a sculpturer with Sue’s pyrography works.

Sue’s work is well known to the locals, have exhibited her work at the gallery before. She is also very active in the South Gippsland Community.

Scott is from Tambo Upper and comes from a artistic family.

“My family business was in 3D and I was involved in that business. before doing an apprentiship with local council in Melbourne and then went onto to open a small nursery in Daylsford,” he said

After this he changed careers and worked in Aged Care for a number of years.

He became interest in sculpting limestone while building his house.

“It is a nice way to work, there is not a power tool in sight, I find the process very peaceful,” he said.

This is not Scotts first exhibition, he has shown is work at the Meeniyan Gallery, but it is the first exhibition with Sue Gilford.

“I had never meet Sue before this exhibition. We meet at the gallery at the start of this exhibition and was eager to learn about her art,” he said.

NATURAL INCLINATIONS will be on show until December 10

entry to Yarram Courthouse Gallery free and the gallery is open every day from 10 am till 3 pm.
